Baby and child safety is our number one priority, which is why we focus on developing products that set the standard for safety and serve the ever-changing needs of today’s parents and families. With no industry standards for childproofing products, we’ve developed our own proprietary testing methods and stringent internal guidelines to ensure our products are held to a high safety standard.
*Internal testing was performed to compare the strength of various Safety 1st SKUs against the strength capabilities of a 3 year old child. A first mechanical portion of testing was used to evaluate the strength of the product statistically versus established anthropometric data. Then, a second portion of child testing using real children (ages 36-47 months) was used to verify the correlation between mechanical testing and real-use scenarios (as of September 2017).
